Sanusi to challenge suspension in court.

Niamey - Suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has vowed to challenge his suspension in court, reports Premium Times.

Sanusi said his suspension was illegal under the constitution as the President has no such power to either remove or suspend a CBN governor.

He said his decision to challenge the President’s action was to establish once and for all if the President has the powers to do what he has done.

He noted that his stance against the missing oil money was the reason why he was suspended, saying if the suspension will bring back the money, then he is satisfied.

He pointed out that he has resolved not to return to the job, as it was never his desire to hold on to any office.
