Atiku blames Jonathan for Yobe killings

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has blamed the federal government for its handling of the Boko Haram insurgence in the northern part of the country, Premium Times reports.

Atiku, while reacting to the killing of 29 students of the Federal Government College, Buni-Yadi in Yobe, said President Goodluck Jonathan is not doing enough to stamp out the activities of the insurgents in the north.

Members of the Boko Haram sect on Monday attacked the federal college, killing and burning the students alive.

Jonathan has assured the nation that his administration will not relent in its ongoing efforts to end the scourge of terrorism in parts of the country.
