The Federal Government has denied reports that military rule will
administered in Borno State over the democratic structure because of the
rise in terrorist activities, Vanguard reports.
Dr.
Reuben Abati, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity,
has called the rumors preposterous and said that the government would
not remove democratically elected governors.
Abati states that
the constitution of the republic does not recommend the rule of the
military over that of the civilian as it does not adhere to the
democratic setting of the country.
