Apapa Expressway road construction has led to high traffic and high level of robbery. Incidents are reported on a daily basis.

As
the construction on Apapa Expressway has not been finished yet, many
people experience themselves caught in high traffic. According to
reports, felons have used the situation and there has been an increased
number of armed attacks on innocent people.
On March 6th, 2014, two female workers of MTN were robbed on their way to their office at an Apapa branch. Further details of the robbery are to follow.
Last week a woman was attacked while being in her car in traffic. The robbers broke her car window and stabbed her in the eye. Woman was rushed to the hospital and received proper medical care. Photos of the incident are provided below.
With
a view of these incidents, the public has addressed local security
agents to take possible preventative measures to make sure such attacks
will not happen again. Moreover, they are asking for an investigation to
be held to find people responsible for such violent acts.
