5 ways to be more photogenic

Do you constantly dread that moment when someone tags you in a photo on Facebook and you have more chins than friends?

Try these tips from Daily Makeover to be more photogenic!

1.    Avoid the double chin
Elongate your neck and push your face forward a bit. But don’t do a giraffe or anything, just enough to stretch out your chins.

2.    White is right
Try standing in front of white walls – a sharp backdrop will brighten up your face and help the camera find the correct light balance.

3.    Consistency is key
Look for patterns in the photos you find you look best in. What’s your better side? That kind of thing.

4.    Look to the light
Try looking directly at a light before the picture is taken. It will shrink your pupils and fight off the dreaded demon red eye!

5.    Some tongue action
This is an old red carpet trick: Put your tongue behind your teeth when you smile! It will help you avoid the goofy ear to ear grin!
