* EFCC chairman, Lamorde
Making this warning to the anti graft agency was the House Committee on Drugs, Narcotics and Financial Crimes when the Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, appeared before the lawmakers in Abuja to defend the agency’s 2014 budget proposals.
Speaking on behalf of the committee, its Chairman, Mr. Adams Jagaba charged EFCC to investigate and prosecute cases professionally, irrespective of whether the suspects were Peoples Democratic Party members or members of the rival All Progressives Congress.
He also asked Lamorde to be “fair to all” and to be “very professional in your operations.”
Lamorde, while reviewing the 2013 budget of the commission, informed the committee that the agency successfully prosecuted 117 cases last year
