This has been confirmed by the acting Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, NNPC, Dr Omar Ibrahim.
According
to his statement, the NNPC, others were doing their best to return
normalcy to the chain of fuel supply and to get rid of queues at filling
stations across the country in the coming several days. Thus, several
vessels were being allocated to the Major Marketers Association of
Nigeria to wet the nation with the products.
The acting GM also added that NIPCO, CONOIL and others also had their vessels discharging to clear up the queues.
“I can confirm to you that the NNPC has allocated additional vessels laden with PMS to MOMAN and other suppliers and they are currently discharging the products at Atlas Cove, Apapa, IBM jetty, Capital Jetty and SPM jetty in Lagos,” Omar Ibrahim said.
As concerns other parts of Nigeria then some vessels were also discharging fuel at Port Harcourt and Oghara in Delta State.
