Is Indecent Dressing The Cause of Rape?

A poll was conducted in Nigeria by the NOI, an opinion poll research organization, on what they believed was the main cause of rape. The results showed that 34 percent of the participants believed that indecent dressing was the main cause of rape in the society, 18 percent believed unemployment was the cause, 9 percent believed it was cause by lack of moral values, another 9 percents said it was caused by wrong upbringing 5 percent believed rape was caused by illiteracy to women’s rights and ungodliness.


Judging by the results of the poll, the majority of the population believes that indecent dressing is the main cause of rape. Do you agree with the results?
